| Actually no. I stand beside what I said. "THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR MERITS AND THEIR FAULTS." An even more pointed note is that Clark discussed the resolution of some MAP sensors (HKS VPC). The VPC cannot resolve point curves as highly as the stock ecu, so it is actually filling in some timing and fuel curve points with its fuzzy logic (or more so than the stock unit does). The standalone (AEM) is a better alternative because it has the same resolution as the stock ECU. It is also a $2400 option so unless you are using it to its full ability (boost controller, traction control, nitros/water injection control) it is still advisable to stick with the stock setup and upgrade ecu ($250.00) add boost controller ($200) and an air fuel controller ($200.00). With the other $1750, you get brand new intercoolers and used 555 injectors. Great steps forward for those starting out. Then when you save up the next round of $2400 to upgrade to the AEM, you can turn around and get JWT Sport 500 turbos and a dual pop setup and yet again the MAF setup is not a bottleneck. Its all a matter of choice, and I wasn't trying to start a debate or personally offend anyone. Just give a colorful explaination of how two DIFFERENT air metering systems work.
